INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

FOR REPLACEMENT WATER PRESSURE SWITCH (KIT PRS3406) FOR MODELS: ER152 - ER402

􏰁 WARNING
For an appliance already installed, you must turn off gas supply, turn off power and allow appliance to cool before proceeding.

Components may be HOT! Failure to comply could result in severe personal injury, death, or substantial property damage.

Kit Number Lockinvar PRS3406 water pressure switch replacement part kit.

Replacement procedure

  1. Turn OFF power at the source.

  2. Turn OFF water to the appliance.

  3. Turn OFF gas to the appliance.

  4. Drain the heat exchanger by opening up the drain valve(s) on the bottom of the header as shown in.

  5. Remove the protective boot from the water pressure switch.

  6. Disconnect the orange wires from the water pressure switch.

  7. Unscrew and remove the water pressure switch from the header.

  8. Use Teflon tape (not included) on the threads of the new water pressure switch before installing into the header.

  9. Install the new water pressure switch into the header.

  10. Reconnect the orange wires disconnected in Step 7.

  11. Place the protective boot over the newly installed water pressure switch.

  12. Turn ON power, water and gas to the unit. Be sure to remove all air from the system before turning the water back on.

  13. Resume operation.
